On most Sundays, we hold regular Sunday Services starting at 10 AM. Once a month, there is a special monthly memorial service called Shotsuki Service which is often combined with special events. Our next major service will be on February 18, 2024. We will be observing Nirvana Day, February Shotsuki, and Pet Memorial Service. The following Sunday, February 25, 2024, there will be no in-person service. Instead, we encourage everyone to watch the National Eitaikyo Service from Sacramento California on the BCA website: https://www.youtube.com/@BuddhistChurchesofAmerica/streams        

2024 is a big year for the temple as we celebrate our 100th anniversary on Saturday, October 12, 2024. This is a list of some major events coming up:

March 9, 2024 (Saturday)-Tri-Temple Seminar with Dr. Rev. David Matsumoto, held at Monterey Peninsula Buddhist Temple on 1155 Noche Buena St in Seaside.

April 12, 2024 (Friday)-Asian Cultural Experience and the Buddhist Temple of Salinas presents, “Asian American History, Art, and Culture in 101 Objects” by Author Theo Gonzalves, in our Multi-purpose Hall. 6 pm in the multipurpose hall.

April 20, 2024 (Saturday)-Buddhist Temple of Salinas presents, “American Buddhism” by Dr. Scott Mitchell of the Institute of Buddhist Studies in Berkeley. 11 am in the temple hondo.

April 27, 2024 (Saturday)-Salinas Asian Festival in Salinas Chinatown, presented by the Asian Cultural Experience (ACE), 11 am to 4 pm.

July 29, 2024 (Sunday)-The Salinas Obon Festival

October 12, 2024 (Saturday)-100th Anniversary celebration
